Dr. Meena Patel, renowned for her wisdom, compassion, and groundbreaking contributions to medicine and spirituality, has an illustrious career spanning over five decades. An M.B.B.S. graduate from Bombay University, she has practiced in Lusaka (Zambia), V.V. Nagar and Surat (Gujarat, India), and now Mumbai. Her global practice and dedication have earned her numerous accolades, including the Bhartiya Chikitsak Ratna Award, Rashtriya Health Excellence Award, and an Award of Excellence for her contributions to medical field.
She Believes that by staying connected with the divine intelligence within us, we can remain evergreen, fresh, happy, healthy, and inspired, even in the face of life’s challenges. This connection provides us with the nourishment we need to thrive, without resorting to external aids or blind religious rituals.
Beyond her medical achievements, Dr. Meena is an inspiration to many, particularly women, and a talented artist known for her passion for music, cooking, and Rangoli. Based in Mumbai, she continues to empower others with her wisdom and compassion, making her a true embodiment of grace and intellect
Inspiration
The story behind Comprehending Divinity is as inspiring as the book itself. Dr. Meena’s journey toward writing this book commenced in 1987, during one of the most challenging phases of her life. Faced with immense personal issues, she found herself broken and devastated. In this vulnerable state, Dr. Meena completely surrendered to a higher divine power, seeking solace and strength in spiritual texts.
Immersing herself in the teachings of the Upanishads, the Rig Veda, and essays on the Gita, Dr. Meena discovered a wellspring of inner strength and resilience. These spiritual texts, coupled with her extensive medical knowledge, provided her with the confidence and clarity to navigate her challenges and raise her two daughters single-handedly. As she journeyed deeper into spirituality, Dr. Meena realised that the strength she experienced was not just from her efforts but from a divine intelligence guiding her every step.
This profound realisation inspired her to share her experiences and insights with others. The COVID-19 pandemic provided the perfect opportunity for her to pen down her thoughts, and with God’s grace, Comprehending Divinity was born.
